Based
on eight of the historical multi-genre novels written by Diana Gabaldon, Outlander follows the
story of Claire Randall, a married
combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743. Forced into
marrying Jamie Fraser, a young
Scottish warrior, a passionate relationship ensues with Claire’s heart torn between two vastly different men in two
irreconcilable lives.
Starring
James Fleet as Reverend Wakefield and Annette
Badland as Mrs Fitzgibbons, we
have no doubt that Outlander will be as well received by the British public, as it
was by those across the pond.
