It’s been a fantastic week for the fabulous Wummi Mosaku!

After the success of BBC 1’s Dancing on the Edge earlier this year, the mini-series is heading over to America. Written and directed by Stephen Poliakoff and starring Chewitel Ejiofor and Matthew Goode, Dancing on the Edge will premiere tomorrow night on STARZ.  It follows a young black jazz band in the early 1930s as they search for fame and fortune in the upper class society of London and Wunmi stars as Carla, one of the female soloists.

This week also saw the premiere of Philomena,  Stephen Frears’ latest film about a woman’s search for her adult son after he was taken away from her when she was forced to live in a convent. Wunmi plays a young nun and stars alongside Judi Dench and Steve Coogan.

And finally, we are thrilled announced that Wunmi will be starring as one of new series regulars, MP Maxine Martin, in the next series of In the Flesh for BBC Three.  Filming started this week and the series is due to hit our screens next year.
